Pre-monsoon proved to be a disaster in Himachal Pradesh

Roads are filled with mud and garbage

Rampur:  The pre-monsoon proved to be beneficial but has the roads unfit for travelling.  All the link roads as well as the highways are filled with mud and garbage.  This is because the rain took away all the garbage across the roads.

The corporation has to look into the matter before the real monsoon comes and make the scene more exotic.  Proper sanitary conditions must be deployed in time to avoid such happenings again.

Although there is not much disaster recorded till now, but the dirty water filled with garbage entered into the houses too.  The houses located near the water side are more vulnerable to experience the heavy rainfall in coming days.  Plastic is banned in the whole of the state even though the muddy water was seen with the plastic bags.  This shows that even today plastic is not totally prohibited.  The administration has to look into the matter to make the state plastic free.  As far as monsoons are concerned, every best possibility is made by the government to provide best resources to avoid such happening in Himachal Pradesh.

Good news for MCA applicants – HPU

MCA seats increases to 70 in HPU
In HPU MCA seats have increased to 70 from 15.  The seats for MCA in HPU have increases by 55.  This would give chance to more number of students on the state.  These students have to admit as non-subsidized applicants.

The fees for the students would be more as compared to subsidized students.  Various statements are made for the decision by SFI and ABVP.  The good thing about this increase is that now more applicants can hope for their MCA from the university.

What is Jyotirlinga?
Churdhar Lord Shiva
Shivling situated in Churr Dhaar is a subject of deep and wide study. The establishment cannot be considered in Jyotirlinga, however it has the same significance as Jyotirlinga. There is no written or oral proof of its establishment neither in folk songs nor in folk stories.   In Churr Dhaar temple there is not yet any idol established nor worship is done. It may be said that once Maharaja Shirgul visited Churr dhaar and made a foundation of this temple. According to folk stories it is described and considered that ascetic shankara chaarya was on his pilgrimage through Badrinath and Kedarnath came to Dharmshala by only a single route that was churr dhaar and he might establish linga, unfortunately there is no written proof of its existence. Although this fact can be explained with full faith that it is established in between two water streams known as Ganga and yamuna. It is a place where pilgrims bathe and wash away their sins, purify their souls and give gratitude to lord shiva by giving water on linga. The only proof of its existence is Churr Dhaar itself.Instead of being deothi (Devalya) it is basically known as Jalaari. The temple of Deities are known as Deothi’s where there Idols are kept at some height known as Gambari, But the establishment of linga in Churr Dhaar is at Garbh greeh. It visualized that the temple was constructed later, earlier there may be a shiv ling or a natural water source. Due to this, temple is recognized by jalaari.

Chail Palace- A Heritage Palace

Chail Palace in Himachal Pradesh

Shimla is one of the most favorite tourist spot to spend vacations irrespective of summer or winter.  If you are in Shimla and have visited most of the famous places; so there is one place that is remarkable and at the altitude.  Recently Chail Palace, a premium property of H.P. Tourism Development Corporation Limited (HPTDC’s) got a heritage status.  It is the first hotel to get a Heritage Hotel status in the region. GOI (Government of India) appointed a high level committee of seven members who visited Palace in 2011; they detailed out certain requirements and asked HPTDC to complete those in given time span. HPTDC completed the same in required time.

The three member committee constituted by GOI (Ministry of tourism), visited The Chail Palace again on 30th January, 2012, inspected the Palace and verified it against all requirements. After being statisfied that all the requirements were completed and fulfilled in all respects accordingly The Chail Palace was granted the Heritage Status.  Chail is the place that lies 2,444 m above mean sea level and it has a highest cricket ground in the whole Earth.  It was oqned by erstwhile royal family of Patiala.  Chail is just at a distance e of 45 Km from the capital.

Chail Palace is a tiny resort with beautiful environs. In the abodes of Shivalik range it can be seen as a blend of both Western and Indian Styles, cuddled among the pine (Deodar) covered forest.  The Heritage Status for Chail Palace will mark it as an important destination in global map giving new heights to Himachal Pradesh tourism in attracting more foreign tourists.  Chail palace was built in 1891 and was originally a part of Keonthal State. But later it came under the sway of the Gorkha warrior Amar Singh and finally became a royal resort and summer seat of Maharaja of Patiala. Later in 1972 the Palace was purchased by Himachal Tourism.

So don’t forget to visit the Palace and to have a look of the world’s highest cricket ground whenever you are in a visit to Himachal Pradesh.
