SHIMLA: Dhalli vegetable Yard/Market reported 10 Kg of foreign apple sold at Rs. 900. This was the first sample in the state. This proves that the Apple rates would be high this time since the weather is not supportive this very year. This variety is Scarlet Sper-2 which was sold at very high rate. The producers were seen happy by this price. The regions where this variety is produced would play in money this year.
The Apple season in Himachal Pradesh has started. The early verities of various samples were seen in Market from this Monday. Unfortunately, the foreign apple is sold till this very time. Since they are mush varied in terms of development. Hence, the market would see the fresh local apple very soon. Scarlet Sper-2 has been produced at an altitude of 8,000 feet from mean sea level. At this altitude this variety can only be produced. Other varieties cannot be produced at this altitude; thus this all encourages the developers for their output.
